Background
Here you can lear about my background as a Clinical Psychologist.
My career is deeply rooted in a profound understanding and application of various psychotherapeutic approaches, including Jungian Psychotherapy, Group Analytic Psychotherapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy.
I earned my initial degree in Psychology from Catholic University of Uruguay. My journey into the depths of psychotherapy began there and has continuously evolved. After completing my degree, I pursued a Master in Jungian Analytic Psychotherapy at the same university. This program provided me with a strong foundation in the complex theories of Carl Jung, which now underpin much of my therapeutic practice.
In 2019, I further expanded my expertise by obtaining a second Master’s degree in Group Analytic Psychotherapy from the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain. This training equipped me with the skills necessary to facilitate therapeutic group sessions, which can be particularly effective for personal growth and self-awareness.

Currently, I am in the final stages of becoming a Certified Gottman Therapist through the Gottman Institute in Seattle, USA. The Gottman Method, renowned for its effectiveness, has greatly influenced my approach to couples therapy. I utilize scientifically validated techniques to help couples strengthen their relationships, focusing on communication, conflict resolution, and fostering greater intimacy.
Throughout my career, I have also developed a specialization in trauma and attachment theory. Influenced by the works of Bessel van der Kolk, Pete Walker, and others, I integrate these insights into my therapeutic approach, providing treatment that addresses the roots of psychological distress.
Additionally, I am adept at working with intercultural couples, bringing a unique perspective as an immigrant myself. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, accommodating a diverse client base. This bilingual capability is essential in understanding and bridging cultural nuances that impact relationships.
Every day in my practice, I employ a variety of assessment tools in individual and couples therapy. These assessments help tailor my approach to meet the specific needs of my clients, ensuring that the therapy provided is both effective and empathetic.
Ultimately, my goal as a clinical psychologist is to provide a safe, nurturing, and understanding environment where individuals and couples can thrive.
Whether you’re struggling with personal challenges, relationship issues, or seeking to explore deeper layers of the psyche, I am here to support you every step of the way.
