Is online psychotherapy as effective as traditional psychotherapy?

Numerous studies confirm that there are no significant differences in the effectiveness of online psychotherapy compared to traditional psychotherapy (Carlino, 2011; Hanly, 2007; Migone, 2013; Dinu, 2019; Leffert, 2003). Whether psychotherapy is effective or not depends more on the intention and willingness of the patient and the therapist to create a committed relationship rather than the physical or virtual space in which it takes place. 

In my clinical experience, over the last seven years, I’ve found that there is something intangible, intimate, and universal about the way individuals relate in psychotherapy that transcends the communication channel.

What are the session fees?

For weekly individual therapy sessions, the cost is 55 euros (60 USD, 50 £). If you opt for twice-weekly sessions, the fee is 45 euros per session. Couples therapy sessions are priced at 70 euros weekly (75 USD, 60 £). For further details, please refer to our Rates page.

How long does each session last?

Individual consultations have a duration of 50 minutes, Couples Therapy sessions last one hour. 

What happens if I cancel a meeting?

I charge for sessions canceled with less than twenty-four hours notice. If cancellations occur due to exceptional circumstances, there is no charge.

Do I offer bilingual couples therapy?

Yes, I provide bilingual couples therapy to support people who speak both English and Spanish. I am fluent in both languages and trained to facilitate effective communication and understanding between partners in their native language. Whether you prefer to express yourselves in English or Spanish, I am here to help you navigate your relationship challenges and strengthen your connection.

What are your privacy policies?

Ensuring the utmost privacy and confidentiality for my patients, both in-person and online, is paramount to my practice. To safeguard this, I exclusively utilize “end-to-end encrypted” applications approved by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). for all patient communication. Any breach of patient confidentiality or divulgence of information that could potentially identify them is considered a serious ethical violation and is strictly prohibited in my practice.

For these reasons, I use Zoom HealthCare which boasts AES encryption, ensuring uninterrupted and high-quality service.
